Frequently Asked Questions
When can I switch to a different MediGold plan option?
Between October 15 and December 7 of each year, you may switch from your current MediGold plan to a different MediGold plan. You may also switch plans more frequently if you qualify for a special election period (see When to Enroll). To switch your plan during an approved election period, call Member Services or complete our Plan Change form and return it by mail.
I am currently a member of MediGold’s dental plan through Delta Dental. Do I need to complete another application for the dental plan this year in order to keep the dental plan next year?
No. Once you are enrolled in the dental plan, you will not need to reapply. You will remain a member each year the benefit is available until you request to disenroll from the plan.
When will I receive my MediGold ID Card?
You’ll receive your MediGold ID Card in the mail shortly after you enroll. If you would like to use your MediGold benefits, but you haven’t yet received your ID Card (and your MediGold coverage has already begun), you may call Member Services at 1-800-240-3851 (TTY 711), 8 a.m. – 8 p.m., 7 days a week, to request your MediGold ID Number. You can give your provider your MediGold ID Number and your provider’s office can call MediGold to verify your coverage.
Current members will receive a new MediGold ID Card each year around mid-December. Stop using your old card and begin using your new card once you receive it.
Can I view my claims history online?
Yes. Simply visit our Manage My Account page and follow the instructions to create a username and password (you’ll need to have your MediGold ID Card and your Original Medicare Card handy). Then you can access your account information, including your claims history.

If I’m paying a monthly premium to MediGold, do I still need to pay my Medicare Part B premium?
You must continue to pay your Medicare Part B premium to be eligible for MediGold (unless your Part B premium is paid for under Medicaid or by another third-party).
Can I pay more than one month’s premium at a time?
Yes. If you pay your monthly premium to MediGold using a Payment Coupon Book, you may pay one month’s premium at a time, or you may pay for as many months as you choose. Follow the instructions inside your payment book if you choose to mail more than one month’s premium.
Can I pay my premium with a credit card?
Not currently. MediGold may accept credit card payments in the future.
Will I be disenrolled from MediGold if I don’t pay my monthly premium?
Not immediately, but it is possible. You’ll receive ample notice from MediGold before you are disenrolled for non-payment of your premium. Details regarding our “grace period” are included in your MediGold Evidence of Coverage (EOC).
